I have had the pleasure of teaching yoga to many aging from birth through mature adults since 2008.  I believe that yoga is accessible to all.  By linking movement to the breath I hope to help others on their journey inward beyond the physical and with practice help them move forward on their journey off the mat.   I love working with both the energy of the group class and the opportunity to address specific needs in one to one sessions.  These days there are many types of yoga being offered.  Just as with food + diet, I do not believe that there is one single philosophy or approach that serves everyone.  I help others learn to listen to their bodies in choosing what works best, again both on and of the mat.

What class is best for you?

Beach Yoga:  Early morning riser?  Love the beach?  This class is for you to start your day off connecting to nature and your body.  Bring a large towel or mat (if you don't mind it getting sandy).  $15 drop in fee.  Cash, check, venmo or paypal.  

Gentle Yoga:  This class allows you to pause, breathe, listen to and honor your body.  Gentle movements and instruction focus on the fundamentals of basic yoga poses.  No yoga experience necessary.  This is a great class to add to your regular exercise regime,  to re-energize in the middle of the day or re-charge after the weekend for the week ahead.  

Vinyasa Flow 1/2:  This class involves continuous movements between poses while focusing on the breath to build body awareness, flexibility, strength and stamina.  Moderate physical conditioning  and some yoga is experience is recommended.  One should be comfortable moving up and down from seated to standing. Mediation and relaxation will be incorporated into each class.
